An environmental charity based in England seeks a Retail Manager to lead a dedicated team at Shugborough. The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, enhancing customer service, and achieving sales targets. Reporting to the Area Manager, you'll be leading a small team of 5 retail assistants and 5 retail volunteers. You'll be part of the leadership team at Shugborough, and will work closely with the General Manager and the wider team, actively involved in making decisions that affect the whole place.

Your role includes day to day operations, cash handling, stock ordering, receiving stock & working with local suppliers to introduce new property relevant products.
Leading the retail team to success through coaching & development, you'll provide exceptional customer service & creating innovative displays within the shop.
Your focus every day will be on your customers, going out of your way to make sure they’re having their best possible day. You'll lead your team from the front, encouraging them to speak to people and listen to what they want. And also to inspire them, so that everyone who buys something knows just what a difference their contribution, however small, will make to the work of the Trust in protecting nature, beauty and history. You'll set stretching targets for the team, and work together to achieve these through the highest standards of customer service and presentation of retail products.
