Job summary

A leading NHS Trust in the United Kingdom is seeking a Resuscitation Officer to provide life-saving care and training. This role involves designing and delivering training, investigating cardiac incidents, and ensuring quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have a registered nursing background, extensive experience in acute care, and advanced life support skills. The position offers a salary of £47,810 to £54,710 per year and includes a comprehensive benefits package, including annual leave and NHS pension membership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years post qualification experience, with 3 years in acute care.
  • Minimum 2 years at Band 6.

Responsibilities

  • Train and educate all staff in resuscitation related skills.
  • Design and deliver resuscitation related training packages.
  • Investigate cardiac and peri arrests.
  • Audit equipment and cardiac arrest incidents.
  • Respond as part of the cardiac arrest team.

Skills

Basic and Advanced Life Support including Manual and Automated Defibrillation
ALS Provider
ALS Instructor
EPLS Provider
Demonstrable computer skills

Education

Registered Nurse, Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Paramedic
ENB 998 or equivalent teaching qualification
