Overview

This is a casual position with hours varying week to week based on business needs. During the Festival we operate seven days a week, so flexibility – including weekend work – is essential.

The role includes supervising day‑to‑day restaurant service, supporting and motivating front‑of‑house team members, ensuring consistent service standards, and assisting with guest enquiries and feedback. You will work closely with managers and the kitchen team to deliver a seamless and memorable dining experience in a high‑profile, fine‑dining environment.

About the Venue

Glyndebourne Opera House is set in the beautiful Sussex countryside and is one of the world's most iconic cultural venues, renowned for its opera, elegant dining, and famous summer picnics. Dining at Glyndebourne delivers high‑quality hospitality across restaurants, bars, private dining spaces and outdoor catering.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise day‑to‑day restaurant service.
  • Support and motivate front‑of‑house team members.
  • Ensure service standards are consistently met.
  • Assist with guest enquiries and feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with managers and the kitchen team to deliver a seamless dining experience.

Contract Details

Summer Opera Festival – May to August 2026.
