Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Senior Network Planner - Resilience to lead the development and delivery of resilience, emergency and severe weather response plans. You will guide processes with best practice insights and ensure rapid adaptations for customer benefit.

The role requires proactive analysis, risk management, and collaborative liaison with regional Operations, local authorities and resilience forums to minimise disruption.

Qualifications

• Experience in resilience planning or civil contingency work.
• Knowledge of the Civil Contingency Act 2004 (desirable).
• Experience creating and developing response plans including managing debriefs (desirable).
• Ability to implement crisis management procedures and policies.
• Strong communications and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of resilience, emergency and severe weather response plans.
• Proactively analyse the effectiveness of existing plans and implement improvements.
• Liaise with regional Operations colleagues and external stakeholders to minimise impact of events.
• Manage Network Resilience funding and prioritise funding aligned to risk.
• Provide advisory support to minimise impact to Operations during emergencies.
