Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Senior Network Planner - Resilience to lead the development and delivery of resilience, emergency and severe weather response plans across the network.

You will guide processes and procedures, apply intelligence insights, manage risks, and liaise with regional operations and external partners to minimise disruption. The role includes driving duty and travel as needed, with a hybrid working pattern from Bristol or Exeter.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding the Civil Contingency Act 2004 (desirable)
• Experience of creating, developing response plans including managing debriefs (desirable)
• Ability to implement company crisis management procedures and policies.
• Good communications and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of resilience, emergency and severe weather response plans.
• Proactively analysing the effectiveness of existing plans and improvements; manage risks and issues.
• Provide advice and consultancy to minimise impact to Operations during emergencies.
• Develop and recommend best practice methods for ongoing improvements.
• Liaise with regional Operations colleagues and external stakeholders to minimise impact of events.
