Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Senior Network Planner - Resilience to lead the development and delivery of resilience, emergency and severe weather response plans. The role is hybrid, based from Bristol or Exeter, with travel to sites as required.

You will guide best-practice processes, advise stakeholders, and coordinate with regional Operations, local authorities and resilience forums to minimise disruption and protect customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in contingency and business continuity planning.
• Knowledge of Civil Contingency Act 2004 (desirable).
• Ability to implement crisis management procedures and policies.
• Strong communications and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience creating and developing response plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of resilience, emergency and weather response plans.
• Analyse effectiveness of plans and drive improvements.
• Liaise with regional Operations, authorities and resilience forums.
• Manage Network Resilience funding opportunities.
• Provide consultancy to minimise impact during emergencies.
