A local authority body in Warrington seeks a Resilience Advisor on a fixed-term contract. The role involves supporting the Council's emergency planning efforts, maintaining legal compliance, and delivering training. Ideal candidates will possess strong report writing and organisational skills, and must be flexible and confidential in managing sensitive information. We are a small team responsible for ensuring the Council meets its legal requirements under the Civil Contingencies legislation. We prepare the councils statutory emergency plans, carry out training and awareness programmes. The team works in partnership with the Cheshire Resilience Forum. Applicants must be able to drive and have access to transport when needed. We would support a candidate interested in the role who wishes to develop a career in Emergency Planning.
The role will support the Head of Service to ensure the Council has emergency plans in place that are regularly maintained, reviewed and tested. You will need an appreciation of how Emergency Planning operates within a Local Authority, in line with legislative requirements and underlying concepts and principles of laws including Civil Contingencies legislation.
