A leading independent surveying practice in Leeds seeks a Residential Surveyor to manage their own workload and deliver high-quality residential surveying work. With a focus on Level 2 and Level 3 surveys, this role also offers exposure to complex instructions and a chance to work in a flexible, supportive environment. Candidates should have MRICS qualifications or be working towards chartership, with a strong commitment to professional standards. Join a growing firm where your autonomy will be respected and your development supported.
Turner Property Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a high quality, independent surveying practice based in Leeds, who are now looking to appoint a Residential Surveyor as part of their next phase of growth.
Run by a close knit family team, this business has quickly built a strong reputation for delivering detailed, high quality work on instructions that are often considered to be too complex for other firms. Quality, professionalism and technical rigours sit at the heart of everything they do.
Due to a newly signed agreement with a Leeds based estate agency that is set to significantly increase workflow, the business is now looking to bring an additional surveyor into the team.
This role will focus primarily on residential surveying work, including Level 2 and Level 3 surveys, with exposure to more complex instructions and valuation work. There is also the opportunity to be involved in some commercial instructions, including dilapidations and re‑instatement work for candidates interested in broadening their experience.
You will be trusted to manage your own workload, deliver consistently high standards of reporting, and take ownership of your instructions without day‑to‑day management. This is a role suited to someone who values autonomy and professional trust.
The business is open to two potential profiles:
For both profiles, candidates should already be working in residential surveying or happy to focus their career in this area.
The business uses GoReport software, which has been specifically configured for the manual and used on iPads to support efficient, high quality reporting.
Currently the team works largely from home, however an office has been secured to support collaboration as the team grows. The working culture is relaxed, supportive and flexible, with a strong emphasis on trust and work‑life balance.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, quality‑led practice at an early stage, where your work will be valued, your autonomy respected, and your development supported.
