Job summary

Vistry Group in the UK is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs and maximise value. You will drive procurement, administer contracts, and oversee monthly payments through close collaboration with the Commercial team.

The role requires strong IT, analytical and communication skills, with experience in housing development. A methodical approach, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure are essential, as is a willingness to go the extra mile to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• HNC in Surveying or Construction or equivalent is required.
• Experience in the construction industry for a residential housing developer is preferred.
• Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills are essential.
• Strong mathematical ability and budget management understanding are needed.
• Willingness to work extra to meet deadlines as required.

Responsibilities

• Attend design meetings to advise on cost implications.
• Prepare tender lists and procurement programmes.
• Analyse and check contract drawings for cost risks and errors.
• Prepare cost analyses and tender documentation.
• Manage subcontractor payments and final accounts within budget.
• Support the wider Commercial team with budget settlements and cost control.
• Liaise with customers and internal teams to minimize costs and maximize value.
