Job summary

Vistry Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our team at the Exeter office, overseeing cost management across projects and driving value for money. You will handle procurement, subcontract administration, monthly payments and final accounts, while collaborating with multiple departments to ensure budget adherence.

Qualifications

• HNC in Surveying or Construction or equivalent required.
• Experience in residential housing development is essential.
• Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills.
• Strong mathematical ability and budget management understanding.
• Willing to work extra to meet deadlines as required.

Responsibilities

• Attend design meetings to advise on cost implications.
• Prepare tender lists and update procurement programmes.
• Prepare contract drawings checks to identify errors and potential cost savings.
• Prepare cost analyses from quotations and tender documents.
• Manage subcontractor orders, cost negotiations, and variations.
• Prepare monthly cost analyses and track expenditure to prevent overruns.
• Support external valuation documentation and stage payments.
