Job summary

Vistry Group in Cheltenham is hiring a Quantity Surveyor to manage all project costs, procurement, and contract administration. Your focus is to minimise costs while maximizing value and margin, with payments, variations and final accounts handled diligently.

We value collaboration and offer flexibility; expect to work closely with Land, Development and Construction teams, attend meetings, and ensure all cost implications are addressed across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• HNC in Surveying or Construction or equivalent.
• Experience of working within the Construction industry for a residential housing developer.
• Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills.
• Strong mathematical ability and budget management understanding.
• Professional membership in MCIOB or RICS preferable or working towards.

Responsibilities

• Attend design meetings to advise on cost implications and attend development meetings.
• Prepare tender lists, update procurement programmes and manage subcontract packages.
• Check drawings for errors and identify areas of unnecessary cost.
• Prepare stage payments, early cost analysis and budget settlement meetings.
• Place subcontractor orders, negotiate contract sums within budget and prepare final accounts.
• Maintain RAMS, liaise with Customer Service on post-completion costs and attend site meetings.
