Job summary

Vistry Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for our Cheltenham office. You will manage all costs across projects, aiming to minimise costs while maximising margin and value for money. Responsibilities include procurement, subcontract administration, monthly payments and final accounts.

We value collaboration and offer flexible working where possible. You will join a busy Commercial team and work with Land, Development and Construction to control budgets and prepare tender documentation.

Qualifications

• HNC in Surveying or Construction or equivalent is required.
• Experience in residential housing construction and cost control.
• Strong IT, analytical and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Attend design meetings to advise on cost implications.
• Prepare tender lists and procurement programmes.
• Check drawings for cost implications and identify value opportunities.
• Prepare construction cost analyses and cost information for bidders.
• Monitor budgets and prepare stage payments and final accounts.
• Negotiate contracts within budget and manage subcontractor costs.
• Produce monthly cost analyses and track variances.
• Support external valuation documentation and RAMS updates.
• Collaborate with Commercial team and other departments.
