Job summary

Vistry is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for our Leeds office in East Yorkshire. You will manage costs across projects, minimise spend, and maximise value for money while maintaining quality standards.

You will handle procurement, subcontract administration, monthly payments and final accounts, working closely with the wider Commercial team in a collaborative, supportive environment with flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry for a residential housing developer.
• Strong IT, analytical and communication skills.
• Excellent budget management and cost analysis abilities.
• Professional membership in MCIOB or RICS preferred or working towards.
• Ability to work in a busy team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Attend design meetings to advise on cost implications.
• Prepare tender lists and procurement programmes.
• Check contract drawings for errors and potential cost savings.
• Prepare stage payment schedules to support financing.
• Place subcontractor orders and negotiate contract sums within budget.
• Prepare documentation for external valuation with the client's agent.
