Job description

We are looking to appoint an experienced Residential Childcare Worker to contribute to all aspects of the physical and emotional care of the child(ren) whilst working in partnership with their family and other professionals. In the absence of the Manager / Deputy to take responsibility for the day to day running of the home. The successful candidate will assist the Management Team in the development of other staff and encourage individuals to enhance their performance by ensuring the provision of regular Supervision, Support, Diploma assessment and training and appraisal. in addition. the postholder will contribute to the effective management of information, contribute to the planning, co-ordination and implementation of projects relating to both the home and young people. The role involves working shifts (including sleeping in and weekend working) and a level of flexibility to meet the needs of the service is desirable. Level 4 Diploma in Residential Care or equivalent is required.
