The Vacancy

WPS are seeking an experienced and proactive Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to join our team a new social housing contract delivering planned works under the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving homes and communities across the North East.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for residents throughout the works programme.
  • Ensure clear, timely communication regarding schedules, access requirements, and progress updates.
  • Support residents with queries and concerns, maintaining customer service standards.
  • Liaise with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of planned works.
  • Assist in resolving issues promptly and professionally to minimise disruption.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as an RLO or in a customer-facing role within social housing or construction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
  • Knowledge of SHDF works and planned maintenance programmes is desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the North East region.
