Job summary

Unite Group is seeking an Operations Assistant to greet residents and visitors, respond to enquiries and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment across our student accommodation brands (Unite Students and Hello Student). You’ll support check-ins, viewings, routine maintenance and community events, playing a key role in delivering a great resident experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service, hospitality, retail or residential environment.
• Enjoy working with people and delivering great customer experiences.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, organised and comfortable working in a busy and varied environment.
• Confident handling enquiries, complaints and resident requests.
• Team player who supports colleagues when needed.
• Experience in student accommodation, hospitality or residential environments would be beneficial but isn't essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, face-to-face customer service to residents and visitors, responding to enquiries and resolving issues
• Support the full resident journey, including check-ins, check-outs and day-to-day resident support
• Deliver property viewings and support bookings, helping drive occupancy and retention
• Support resident engagement activities, helping create a welcoming and vibrant community
• Respond to maintenance issues, making safe where required and raising requests for resolution
• Carry out building checks and support safety procedures, ensuring the property remains safe and compliant
• Support emergency response procedures when required
• Maintain high property standards, ensuring communal areas are clean, safe and well presented
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Record enquiries, cases and operational issues accurately within internal systems
