Job summary

Unite Group, operating Unite Students and Hello Student brands, is looking for an Operations Assistant to help create a welcoming, safe environment for residents and visitors. You’ll support check-ins, viewings, maintenance requests and community activities, becoming the friendly face of the building.

You’ll work with the property team to ensure smooth daily operations, assist residents, and contribute to a vibrant student community.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail or residential environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, organised and able to work in a busy setting.
• Confident handling enquiries, complaints and resident requests.
• Enjoy teamwork and supporting colleagues.
• Experience in student accommodation, hospitality or residential environments is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, face-to-face customer service to residents and visitors, responding to enquiries and resolving issues
• Support the full resident journey, including check-ins, check-outs and day-to-day resident support
• Deliver property viewings and support bookings, helping drive occupancy and retention
• Support resident engagement activities, helping create a welcoming and vibrant community
• Respond to maintenance issues, ensuring safety and raising requests for resolution
• Carry out building checks and support safety procedures, ensuring the property remains safe and compliant
• Support emergency response procedures when required
• Maintain high property standards in communal areas
• Collaborate with colleagues for smooth day-to-day operations
• Record enquiries, cases and operational issues accurately in internal systems
