Job summary

Unite Group, through its Unite Students brand, is hiring an Operations Assistant to welcome residents and visitors and keep the building running smoothly. You’ll respond to enquiries, support check-ins and viewings, and help deliver a safe, engaging resident experience across our student communities in London.

You’ll work with the property team to resolve issues, support events, and maintain high standards in communal areas, ensuring a welcoming, vibrant environment for residents and guests.

Qualifications

• You don't need to follow a traditional path - passion for customer service and ability to connect with people.
• To be successful in this role, you will:
• Experience in a customer service, hospitality, retail or residential environment.
• Enjoy working with people and delivering great customer experiences.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Be proactive, organised and comfortable working in a busy and varied environment.
• Be confident handling enquiries, complaints and resident requests.
• Enjoy working as part of a team and supporting colleagues when needed.
• Experience in student accommodation, hospitality or residential environments would be beneficial but isn't essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, face-to-face customer service to residents and visitors, responding to enquiries and resolving issues.
• Support the full resident journey, including check-ins, check-outs and day-to-day resident support.
• Deliver property viewings and support bookings, helping drive occupancy and retention.
• Support resident engagement activities, helping create a welcoming and vibrant community.
• Respond to maintenance issues, making safe where required and raising requests for resolution.
• Carry out building checks and support safety procedures, ensuring the property remains safe and compliant.
• Support emergency response procedures when required.
• Maintain high property standards, ensuring communal areas are clean, safe and well presented.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Record enquiries, cases and operational issues accurately within internal systems.
