A government health agency is seeking a Researcher Device Data to join its Safety & Surveillance group. This full-time role, based in London, focuses on utilizing real-world data to enhance medical device safety. Responsibilities include literature reviews, data analysis using programming tools, and communication of findings to senior leadership. Preferred candidates will have a PhD or equivalent experience in epidemiology and practical experience with health-related data sources. This role supports a flexible hybrid working model.
We are currently looking for a Researcher Device Data to join our Scientific Data & Insight Function within the Safety & Surveillance group. This is a full‑time opportunity on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract/internal move/loan or temporary promotion basis. The role will be based at 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 4PU; it can only be worked in the UK. We are implementing a flexible hybrid way of working with a minimum of 8 days per month on site, up to 12 days depending on business needs.
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency enhances and improves the health of millions of people through regulation of medicines and medical devices. The Safety & Surveillance portfolio protects the public by identifying, assessing and managing risks associated with medical products. The Scientific Data & Insight function develops analytic capabilities, supports epidemiology, develops new methods for pharmacovigilance and collaborates with external partners.
As a Device Data Researcher you will shape the use of real‑world data to support medical device safety. Your research and data analysis will help the Agency make best use of device safety regulatory and master/reference data to protect patient safety and public health efficiently. You will lead data quality and analysis projects, develop novel methods for device epidemiology and communicate complex findings to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
