Job summary

A leading water and wastewater company in Kentish Town is seeking a Repair & Maintenance Technician. You will manage repair and maintenance tasks across the North London network and lead your own team. Ideal candidates will have experience in the water industry and strong problem-solving abilities. The role offers a starting salary of £35,000 per annum, full PPE, and significant benefits including additional holiday and a generous pension scheme.

Qualifications

We are currently recruiting for a Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Technician who has Street Works (NRSWA)/SSSTS qualification and a full UK driver’s licence.

What you’ll be doing as a Repair & Maintenance Technician:

You will be responsible for repair and maintenance across our North London network, with occasional travel to South London when required.

You will be the Leader of a two-person R&M Team. Ensuring that all work undertaken is completed to the correct safety and quality standards.

Base location

Kentish Town - NW51TN.

Working pattern

45 hours a week on a shift pattern, including a standby rota for which you will receive additional payment.

Must-haves (essential criteria) for this opportunity include:
  • You will have experience or training in repair and maintenance in the water industry.
  • You should be able to meet the physical demands of the role with the ability to work outdoors in all weathers.
  • Use your initiative and problem-solve where repairs are required.
  • Have strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical messages simply.
  • Have a can-do, positive attitude, remaining open to new ideas and change.
  • Be self‑motivated and confident in completing tasks to the best of your ability.
Additional skills and experiences would be great to have/bring:
  • Be competent in using computers and other IT equipment.
  • Advantageous if you have an EUSR Water Hygiene card, Service Avoidance L2 and/or a First Aid qualification.
