  • Carry out deep cleans in wards, kitchen areas, and theatres, ensuring National Cleaning Standards are maintained.
  • Perform Removal Support: office moves, furniture and hospital removals, transport, storage.
  • Maintain safe transport of medical devices and Trust property.
  • Clean and perform simple weekly maintenance of NHS vehicles.
  • Assist with removal requests for medical devices and Trust property.
  • Carry out specialist cleaning tasks across multiple Trust sites.
  • Use specialist equipment for deep cleaning and receive training.

Job description

Come and join our friendly and supportive Facilities team as a Removal and Deep Clean Operative, these roles are based at either Weymouth Hospital or DorsetHealthCare HQ, Poole. You will require a clean, full UK Driver's License for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out deep cleans in wards, kitchen areas, and theatres, ensuring National Cleaning Standards are maintained; training will be provided for machinery used.
  • Perform Removal Support: office moves, furniture and hospital removals, transport, safe storage and delivery/collection of items including medical devices, office furniture, beds, wardrobes, mobile oven units and hoists; dismantling and assembling equipment as required.
  • Maintain safe transport of medical devices and Trust property; keep records of items put into storage.
  • Clean and perform simple weekly maintenance of NHS vehicles.
  • Assist with removal requests and ensure safe passage of medical devices and Trust property.
  • Carry out specialist cleaning tasks across multiple Trust sites following procedures and schedules.
  • Use specialist equipment for deep cleaning and terminal cleaning; receive required training.

  • Clean, full UK Driver's Licence.
  • Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Working Conditions

This is a full‑time role, 8 am–4 pm Monday to Friday, with some flexibility and occasional weekend work. Hours may require you to cover all Trust sites across Dorset. Work vehicles are provided for work use only and must be returned daily to the relevant base.
