Job summary

Eaton is hiring a Specification Sales Engineer – Power Distribution to influence project design decisions across commercial, industrial, and data centre sectors in the UK. You will engage consulting engineers and end users to ensure Eaton solutions are specified before tender, helping secure early opportunities and renewables-focused power distribution deployments.

You will provide technical guidance on LV/MV switchgear, energy management, and power quality, deliver CPDs and design workshops,

Qualifications

• HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or proven experience within power distribution, switchgear, building services, or technical sales.
• Experience working with consultants, contractors, end users, or specification-led projects.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with consulting engineers, building services consultants, contractors, and end users to influence specifications on major projects.
• Drive early engagement on projects from concept through design stages, positioning Eaton as the preferred power distribution partner.
• Provide technical guidance on LV switchgear, switchboards, circuit protection, energy management, power quality, surge protection, and EV infrastructure.
• Deliver CPDs, technical presentations, and design workshops to consultants and engineering teams.
• Champion Eaton specifications throughout the tender process, demonstrating the value of our solutions in safety, reliability, sustainability, digitalisation, and energy resilience.
• Collaborate with sales, application engineering, and product teams to convert specifications into successful project wins.
