Qualifications

TPF Recruitment is partnering with a highly successful accountancy firm to recruit a Remote Senior Practice Accountant to join their team on a remote basis. With a modern approach, strong values, and a focus on autonomy, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a market-leading practice. You will work across statutory accounts, management accounts, and potentially tax, supporting a range of high-quality Ltd company clients. The firm uses TaxCalc, Xero, and QuickBooks software, and acts for some very good quality Ltd company clients!

Location

Candidates must be based in Kent.

Key responsibilities
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts and CT600 returns
  • Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts, including commentary, reports, consolidations, and advisory input
  • Prepare and review self assessment returns
  • Liaise with clients and provide advisory support
  • Oversee general bookkeeping and VAT work, and provide guidance to junior accountants
  • Stay up to date with financial policies, practices, and tax regulations
  • Support the team with complex accounting issues and queries
  • Handle HMRC and client correspondence, and enquiries
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified with at least five years' practice experience, having worked with SMEs and charities
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts and management accounts for ltd company clients
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise directly with clients surrounding their management accounts, queries etc
  • Familiarity with TaxCalc and Xero accounting software would be advantageous
