Job summary

Sovos is seeking a Business Development Representative to build market demand for industry-leading compliance solutions across the United Kingdom and Portugal. This role sits at the intersection of sales and marketing, turning leads into conversations and qualified opportunities for the sales team.

You will identify opportunities, qualify inbound leads, and collaborate with Account Executives to execute territory plans, while leveraging AI-assisted workflows and modern sales tools.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Portuguese or German with strong written and spoken communication.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business development or sales.
• BDR experience with a track record of meeting monthly quotas (dials, appointments, opportunities).
• Strong teamwork and ability to present to groups of all sizes.
• Take initiative, learn quickly, and use AI-assisted workflows and sales tools.
• Proficiency with Salesforce.com and MS Office suite, with solid planning and multitasking.
• Creative problem-solving with persistent outreach
• Background check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop sales opportunities with prospective customers to meet pipeline and revenue targets.
• Qualify inbound leads and use AI tools to create high-quality opportunities and hand off to Account Executives.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to define territory plans and drive pipeline.
• Implement a formal BD process, engaging mid-level and executive contacts.
• Recommend improvements to BD strategies, processes, and tools using data and AI workflows.
