Job summary

The AI Enablement Lead at Actian will architect, scale, and own our AI enablement strategy end-to-end, building platforms, tooling, and frameworks that empower product and engineering teams to deploy AI safely and rapidly.

You will champion LLMOps, governance, and data pipelines, driving cross-functional adoption, measuring impact, and delivering production-grade AI capabilities across the Actian Data Intelligence Platform.

Qualifications

• Senior AI/ML Engineer, LLMOps Engineer, or Software Architect with proven experience building and scaling AI-powered applications in enterprise SaaS or complex data platforms.
• Deep technical expertise in Python or Go, semantic search, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, pgvector), orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex), and fine-tuning or prompt engineering of state-of-the-art Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Extreme Ownership with a high-agency mindset, proactively building frameworks that solve bottlenecks before teams request them.
• Software engineering rigor: CI/CD, AI evaluation datasets, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and clean code architecture.
• Exceptional communication skills to translate AI concepts into business value for internal stakeholders and executives.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the core AI orchestration layers, centralized API gateways, and reusable frameworks for company-wide consumption.
• Collaborate with core engineering teams to embed production-ready generative AI and ML features into the Actian Data Intelligence Platform.
• Establish guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and monitoring tools for model performance, bias, privacy, and security across AI implementations.
• Monitor cloud and API compute spend and optimize latency for production AI features.
• Lead workshops and create documentation to empower non-AI engineering teams to build AI-driven features.
• Drive PoCs to production with production-grade code that scales seamlessly.
• Define and enforce the official AI stack, including vector databases and embeddings strategies.
• Evaluate partnerships with AI model providers and open-source models to keep Actian at the cutting edge.
• Define metrics to track impact: adoption rates, time-to-market, and ROI of AI tools.
