Senior Solicitor – Regulatory & Criminal Defence (6+ PQE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Solicitor (6+ PQE) to join a fast-growing Regulatory & Criminal Defence team. This is a new position created due to a significant increase in instructions from an impressive client base, including leading names in the retail, transport, logistics, and consumer sectors.

This position offers exposure to a broad mix of regulatory and criminal matters, including:

  • Health, safety & environment
  • Transport law
  • Financial crime & supply chain issues

You will work across the full spectrum of regulatory matters, including advisory work, major investigations, enforcement, and prosecutions. This will involve supporting on:

  • PACE interviews, inquests, Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court proceedings
  • High-profile investigations including CPS/HSE matters
  • Cutting-edge regulation in consumer, food, and product law
  • Business development, client relationship management, and mentoring junior team members

We are looking for a driven and commercially minded lawyer who can operate with a high degree of autonomy. The successful candidate will have:

  • 6+ years PQE with experience in at least two of the following areas: health & safety, environmental, consumer/product/food law, transport, financial crime/supply chain, or general crime/defence.
  • Strong experience advising clients on regulatory and/or criminal matters.
  • Excellent advocacy and communication skills, with confidence in handling court and inquest proceedings.
  • A proactive approach to business development and supporting team growth.
  • The ability to manage a busy caseload while maintaining high standards of client service.
