With a diverse caseload covering everything from racehorses to foals and competition horses, we’re looking for someone committed to delivering exceptional care in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Donnington Grove, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our veterinary surgeons both in the hospital and occasionally on the road assisting with diagnostic imaging. Our rolling rota includes a mix of inpatient care and theatre/surgical shifts, ensuring variety in your work.

Key responsibilities include:

*Delivering high-quality inpatient care, including administering medications, conducting clinical checks, wound management, and assisting in theatre.

*Managing patient admissions and discharges.

*Supporting diagnostic imaging procedures, both onsite and on the road.

Donnington Grove Veterinary Group is a large, well-equipped practice in Newbury, Berkshire, welcoming both first opinion and referral cases across surgery, MRI, CT, scintigraphy, and medical investigations. Our facility boasts a robust in-house laboratory, a range of mobile equipment, and support for ambulatory procedures. We’re open 7 days a week, year-round, ensuring both routine and emergency care for our patients.

Our team includes:

*33 Equine Vets across Hospital and Ambulatory divisions, with specialists in Surgery, Medicine, and Lameness

*15 Trainee and Qualified Nurses providing essential support

Who we're looking for...

We’re seeking a nurse with a genuine passion for equine care, ideally with some relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to maintaining high clinical standards and delivering exceptional client care, thrive in a dynamic and collaborative team setting, and demonstrate outstanding communication skills to support both clients and colleagues.

Working hours

This is a full-time role, averaging 39 hours per week with rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
