Job description

Overview

Buttercross Veterinary Centre are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team in East Bridgford and branch site Cotgrave (Nottinghamshire).

Role and contract

This is a maternity cover position, starting December 2025 on a 3–9-month fixed term contract. The role is full time, 40 hours per week over 4 days with 1 in 4 Saturdays 08:30-14:30. No on call or OOH, supporting a friendly team of 6 MRCVS registered vets, 7 RVNs, 2 SVN's and 1 Patient Care Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to a wide variety of patients alongside our Vets during surgical and medical procedures.
• Provide vital support throughout each patient\'s recovery journey.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records, adhere to health and safety regulations, and contribute to smooth practice operations through teamwork and clear client communication.

Qualifications and qualities

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively; proactive attitude toward problem-solving and organisation.
• Commitment to animal welfare; passion for a supportive and dynamic environment.
