Summary: Priory Hospital Stockton Hall is looking to recruit a Registered Practitioner Psychologist to join the team. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours.

Priory Stockton Hall is a long-serving medium secure hospital based in a quiet but well-connected village near the historic city of York. It serves the local Provider Collaborative and multiple National Collaboratives, depending on clinical need, and has had a long-running record of successful patient pathways.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients’ wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

  • Receives and responds promptly to referrals, undertaking assessments to determine and plan an effective therapy programme for assigned clients using appropriate and relevant treatments, activities and interventions.
  • Facilitates individual and group therapy sessions within the given field of therapy, ensuring activities and interventions continue to meet the needs of the client and align with the client’s therapy plan.
  • Manages an assigned caseload within agreed timescales, ensuring regular interaction and communication with clients, professional colleagues and clinical staff.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records (case notes, case files, clinical reports, computerised systems) and shares relevant information with professional and clinical colleagues at regular MDT meetings.
What you’ll bring to the role

This role requires a minimum of a relevant Master's degree and a recognised post-graduate qualification, along with accreditation from an appropriate professional institution such as BABCP, BCP, BPS, or an equivalent body. Candidates must have prior experience and practical exposure within their chosen field of therapy.
