Where you’ll be working
Step into a palliative care environment that is gentle, respectful and deeply meaningful. This is a space where dignity, comfort and humanity sit at the centre of everything we do. You’ll be caring for people at the end of their life, supporting families who are grieving and navigating moments that require sensitivity, warmth and steady presence. And with a state of the art new facility opening in 2027, you’ll be part of a service that’s growing into an even more supportive and purpose built space.
About the role
In this role, you’ll provide compassionate, person centred care that honours each patient’s wishes and supports families through some of their most vulnerable moments. You’ll advocate for patients, help families understand care decisions, respond to changing clinical needs and work closely with external stakeholders who help shape each person’s care journey. You’ll mentor and guide staff when needed, supervise students and delegate to ENs and AINs with confidence and respect. Every shift combines clinical skill with emotional intelligence, cultural respect and a commitment to safe, thoughtful care.
About you
You bring a soft, steady energy. You’re calm, gentle and grounded, with the kind of resilience that helps you stay present in difficult moments while still offering warmth and hope. You communicate with care, you collaborate with ease and you’re dedicated to culturally safe practice. You’re someone who understands the honour of being trusted in these final chapters of life and shows up with empathy every time.
How we’ll support you
You’ll be welcomed with structured orientation days, both corporate and ward based, so you feel settled and confident. You’ll have dedicated Clinical Nurse Educators on both wards, plus unwavering support from Tracey and the broader team. You won’t do this work alone. You’ll be guided, backed and supported every step of the way.
