Overview

Pay: £37,500.00 - £40,000.00 per year. Starting Salary: £37,500 (PIP) - £40,000 (WCA) + bonus scheme and benefits. Location: Hybrid (office and home working) Bournemouth. Hours: Monday to Friday 9 – 5. Role open to registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists (OTs) in Bournemouth who want to use and build upon their clinical skills and benefit from work‑life balance and professional development as a PIP OR WCA Functional Assessor.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake a combination of file-work, face-to-face and telephone/video assessments with customers in relation to PIP OR ESA benefits.
  • Provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at DWP to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims.
  • Focus assessments on how a customer’s disability affects day-to-day life and work-related activities.
  • Ensure high-quality, accurate documentation and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
  • Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper.
  • Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.

  • Salary uplift: £1000 after first 6 months and a further £1000 after 12 months.
