Hours: Full-time; Permanent (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm, with on call responsibilities)

Acorn Education and Care, are recruiting a Children's Home Registered Manager to join our team based inShifnal, Shropshire.

Ivy Farm is the newest provision to join our group of Children’s services in our West Midlands division supporting children and young people aged 7-18 years with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. The 5 bedded home, located close to Shifnal, will offer a holistic model of care and education which is designed to provide an enriching and positive environment. Ivy House will be supported by a specialist independent Ofsted registered school that provided our children and young people a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

This home is within commutable distance of Telford, Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Walsall, West Bromwich and other surrounding towns and villages.

Our aim is to build incredible futures by giving our children and young people opportunities to develop their life skills and personal interests, by supporting them to fulfil their potential.

Our next Registered Manager will be someone who has:

  • Mandatory: Level 5 Diploma - Leadership and Management Children’s and Young People or be willing to work towards this.
  • Extensive experience of working in a residential setting
  • High level of working knowledge of relevant legislation such as Children’s Act and Quality Care Standards
  • Experience of leading and motivating teams
  • Ability to effectively train individuals and groups
