Salary: £52,000 - £60,000 - Negotiable Depending on Experience

Introduction

Compass Associates are proud to be working with a renowned provider of specialist care for young people and adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Needs. For past few years, they have been growing their children's services, supporting young people transitioning into adult services.

Their approach with the 2 children's Homes they have, both with a Good Ofsted rating, is to mirror a home-environment as closely as possible to provide a safe and nurturing setting.

Together, we are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to oversee a 4 bedded service for children with Learning Disabilities and Autism.

Overview

This is a great opportunity for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to oversee all aspects of the Children's Home, ensuring its efficient and effective operation, whilst ensuring that the young people remain at the centre of the care provided.

The service itself has a full, stable staff team ready to support you as their manager! The team has great chemistry, and the provider prides itself on a respectful and supportive work culture.

Work Pattern

Mon - Fri, 9am - 5:30pm

Due to the nature of the role, there is an expectation to be on call 1 in 4 weeks, however the children enjoy an established routine.

Location

The service is in a nice area of Portsmouth, 20 minutes from Cosham train station.

Commutable from Chichester, Winchester, Emsworth, Eastleigh, Southampton, Chichester, Worthing, Bognor Regis, the New Forest, Arundel, Littlehampton, and surrounding areas.

Requirements
  • Experienced Ofsted Registered Manager with an NVQ Level 5; or a strong Deputy Manager with at least 2 years' experience looking to take that step up and gain their first Ofsted registration.
  • Must have experience working with children with Learning Disabilities and Autism, not just EBD.
  • Collaborate in-depth with PBS team to ensure PBS strategies are implemented for each young person to enhance the quality of care provided and in supporting the young people in achieving positive outcomes.
  • Ideally: Longevity in a role.
  • Ability to support, manage, inspire, motivate, and develop staff through different needs.
  • Experience in budget management, and ensuring that health and safety standards are maintained in accordance with company policy.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of the strategy and objectives for the Home.
  • Continue developing the children towards further independence, producing action plan reviews and consistently delivering excellent quality of care and support in compliance with Ofsted.
