We are seeking to appoint anenthusiastic staff nurse to join our team.We are a busy 26 bedded rehabilitation unit which is nurse and therapyled. Ensuring an intergrated approach for the benefit of out patients

Main duties of the job

Franszika Willer ward is a 26 beddedrehabiltation ward. we also specialise in Palliative and End of life care. Weaccept patients from the acute sites, direct from accident and emergency, fromother organisations and from the surrounding community

  • Plan and deliver highquality of care to patients adhering to the trust policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high standardof documentation
  • Demonstrate excellentcommunication skills both written and verbal
  • Plan and deliver safeadmissions and discharges
  • Be responsible for thedelegation of tasks to other members of the team
  • Workwell as a team player but also show initative working alone
About us

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

Job responsibilities

As a staff nurse on franszika willer ward atsedgefield community hospital you will be responsible for the planning,organisation and delivery of care to patients, assessing individual needs todevelop, implement and evaluate programmes of care. You may depending uponexperience also be responsible for supervision of junior staff within theteam. Excellent communication skills are required and you must have theability to work well on your own initiative or as part of a team. You shouldpossess good organisational skills and be able to contribute to the developmentof flexible working arrangements within the team. You must be clinically up todate with nursing skills and motivated to develop professionally.

You must be able to produce ALL certificates stated essential in the person specification or you will not be able to complete pre-employment checks.
