Job description
Responsibilities
  • Clinical Sales ownership: lead the clinical growth of the robotic programme, from successful new installation implementation to ongoing sales of new technology and upgrades for the duration of the partnership.
  • Implementation planning and coordination responsibility: coordinate and influence internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful completion of all project phases, on time and within budget, while delivering an industry‑leading customer experience.
  • Overseeing the robotic programme clinical growth stage: undertake case support and troubleshooting in the Operating Room for surgical teams who are trained to use Versius. Act as the first point of customer contact and liaison with other areas of the business and CMR and unit leadership.
  • Ensure feedback is recorded and tracked to aid post‑market surveillance and product improvement in each account. Promptly implement corrective actions, as and when required, to guarantee delivery against contracted Service Level Agreements and maximise Versius uptime and increase utilisation.
  • Monitor the ongoing success of the robotic programme through carrying out regular internal business reviews and Versius Service Delivery Reviews in your accounts, involving the appropriate CMR stakeholders when required, sharing these with the relevant stakeholders, and promptly suggesting and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support the uptake of the digital ecosystem in your accounts.
  • Deliver the training modules as per agreed plans, guiding new surgical teams through their initial learning curve with Versius, developing and executing on expansion plans, while transmitting feedback to the Professional Education Lead.
  • Support the sales and management team with internal planning and forecasting processes, as and when required, producing and contributing to Versius system utilisation reports.
  • Events & Networking: participate in educational, marketing and sales related activities and events when needed, and support the capital sales team during the pre‑implementation projects as required. Take initiative and lead on account related events in collaboration with the hospital.
  • Cross‑functional Collaboration: work with internal teams (marketing, clinical, finance, legal, etc.) to deliver clinical growth related proposals in collaboration with finance and procurement NHS teams, aligning with the compliance pathways.
  • CRM & Sales Tools: use Salesforce and other commercial tools to record account plans, track activity and progress, drive engagement, and ensure visibility across internal stakeholders.
  • Customer Experience: deliver a premium, partnership‑driven experience for NHS customers throughout the programme.

Qualifications
  • Proven success in multi‑stakeholder surgical equipment sales and implementation in NHS and / or private sector.
  • Strong experience in Operating Room process management, introduction of new surgical equipment across all departments, hospital staff training specifically related to advanced technology within a clinical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability in multiple stakeholder management in NHS that enabled achievement of the business goals with demonstrated records / examples.
  • Strong project management, prioritisation and organisational skills, being responsible for a variety of key planning and coordinating activities including maintaining and adhering to timelines and contracted Service Level Agreements for the installation and implementation project plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal / communication skills in building strong long‑term relationships with key opinion leaders and customers interactions at all levels, as well as colleagues in different functions.
  • Inherently self‑disciplined – much of the role will be autonomous and require diligent and persistent follow up.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills to assess the profitability of different scenarios.
  • Highly motivated, adaptable to change and solution‑oriented individual who enjoys operating in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in use of sales tools (CRM systems and value propositions) and a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
  • Experience in robotic surgery, soft tissue surgical devices, or minimal access surgery (MAS) (desirable).
  • Track record of successful sales into the NHS and / or private sector of surgical equipment.
  • Familiarity with management and procurement engagement in NHS and / or private sector.

You will work as part of a closely networked commercial team, predominantly in a defined region, but will have a willingness to travel across the UK, with availability for several days away, and occasionally internationally.
