Overview

Job Details:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 5am-1pm
  • £16.50 per hour
  • Must be a driver

You'll have the opportunity to supervise a team of cleaning staff, ensuring that our standards are met, and we're exceeding client expectations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe space while being a key part of a team that's helping improve the environment for everyone we interact with.

What You'll Do
  • Motivate and supervise your cleaning team, ensuring all contracted tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and hygiene of various areas including kitchens, toilets, and communal spaces, ensuring they meet health and safety standards.
  • Manage the ordering and inventory of cleaning supplies and consumables such as toilet paper, cleaning products, and appliances.
  • Take responsibility for identifying and reporting any safety hazards, conducting regular safety walks to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Manage a team of 3 cleaning operatives to deliver a specific standard of cleaning, to client specification.
  • Be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the cleaning operatives within your specified team.
  • Ensure cost control within your area to meet budgets and targets.
  • Lead your assigned team and ensure all people management related tasks are completed as directed by the Contract Manager.
What You Bring
  • Previous experience in a similar cleaning or supervisory role, with a good knowledge of cleaning solutions and their appropriate use.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and motivating teams.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
  • A proactive, positive attitude, with a strong focus on team work and health and safety.
Essential
  • Must Hold a Full UK Driving licence
  • Experience of the undertaking of all cleaning tasks
  • Computer literate
  • Basis numeracy / literacy skills
Desirable
  • Supervisory experience
  • NVQ Level 2 in providing cleaning services
  • BICSC Accredited
  • CMI Level 3 in Supervisory Management
