Job summary

Change Grow Live is recruiting a Recovery Coordinator for Sunderland. You will support service users from entry through their treatment and recovery journey, delivering screening, assessment and recovery planning with onward referrals.

A strong focus on reducing harm and promoting community involvement is required. You will deliver structured group content, tailor workshops to service users’ needs, and work with partners to ensure seamless access to services.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues.
• Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Proactive with good time management and prioritising skills.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions and safeguarding processes.
• Ability to collaborate with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry through recovery journey.
• Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referrals.
• Reduce drug and alcohol related harm to service users and community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users and community.
• Advocate access to partnership services.
• Facilitate group sessions and tailor workshops to needs.
