Job summary

Change Grow Live, a charity in the UK, is recruiting a Recovery Coordinator in Peterborough to assess and engage with service users and ensure access to the right interventions at the right time. You will support recovery journeys with flexible, person-centred care.

This 30-hour-per-week, permanent role requires strong communication, group facilitation skills and a good understanding of mental health and safeguarding principles. DBS check applies.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues.
• Experience working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with solid time management.
• Good working knowledge of mental health interventions and services.
• Ability to collaborate with professionals, agencies and stakeholders.
• Understand information governance processes and safeguarding requirements.
• Willingness to learn and develop others.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey.
• Provide screening, assessment, and recovery planning with onward referral.
• Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm for service users and the wider community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users and the community.
• Advocate for access to partnership services.
• Assist service users in social integration, promoting recovery and self-determination.
• Prepare subject matter and materials for groups/pods and deliver structured content.
• Lead group sessions for service users at various stages of recovery.
• Engage in debriefings with co-facilitators and review progress with service users.
• Tailor workshops to service user needs (anger management, sleep disorders, relationships, etc.).
