Job summary

Change Grow Live is seeking a Recovery Coordinator in Dudley to support service users from entry through treatment and recovery, coordinating care and group work. The role emphasises screening, assessment, planning, and onward referrals, with a focus on reducing harm and promoting social reintegration.

The successful candidate will facilitate groups, manage a caseload, and collaborate with partners while upholding safeguarding and information governance standards.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field.
• Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Proactive, able to work on own initiative with strong time management.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a range of professionals and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage change with service users in mind.
• Commitment to information governance and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey.
• Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
• Manage a caseload and reduce drug/alcohol-related harm.
• Promote carer, service user and community involvement.
• Advocate for access to partnership services where needed.
• Work with service users to support social reintegration and recovery goals.
• Design and prepare materials for groups/pods.
• Deliver structured content within group settings for users at different stages of recovery.
• Debrief with co-facilitators after groups to review progress and concerns.
• Tailor workshops around service users’ needs (e.g., anger management, sleep disorders).
