Job summary

Change Grow Live in Sheffield is seeking a Sessional Dependency and Recovery Coordinator to support service users through entry, treatment, and recovery. You will screen, assess and plan care, refer as needed, and promote engagement with partnerships while reducing harm. DBS enhanced check and MOJ vetting are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

The role collaborates with probation and aims to empower individuals toward meaningful, independent lives and community involvement.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of substance misuse issues.
Experience with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
Proactive, able to work on own initiative with strong time management.

Responsibilities

Support service users from entry through treatment/recovery journey.
Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and referrals.
Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm in service users and community.
Promote carer, service user and community involvement.
Advocate for access to partnership services.
Assist social reintegration, recovery, and peer support.
Design and prepare materials for groups/pods and deliver content.
Engage in debriefing and evaluate progress with co-facilitators.
Tailor workshops to service user needs (anger management, sleep disorders, relationships).
