Job summary

Change Grow Live in Sefton is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to assess and engage with service users, guiding them to the right interventions at the right time. You will support from first contact through treatment and recovery, tailoring plans and referrals with a strong focus on harm reduction and post-care support.

The role requires full-time, 37.5 hour weeks, permanent contract, and collaboration with community and partner services to promote social reintegration and sustained recovery.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and related experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication with proficient IT skills.
• Proactive, independent with good time management.
• Solid understanding of mental health interventions and best practices.
• Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills across stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to change and prioritise service users' needs.
• Knowledge of information governance and safeguarding requirements.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Provide unwavering support to service users from their initial contact through their treatment and recovery journey.
• Screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referrals.
• Tailored interventions to reduce harm from opiate use, group or one-to-one sessions.
• Recovery-focused plan including pre-detox and post-care support.
• Collaborate with organisations and community to enhance recovery resources.
• Advocate for involvement of family, service users and community.
• Represent service users in accessing partnership services.
• Support social reintegration and promote recovery, resilience and self-determination.
