Job Title: Reception Teacher

Salary: MPS/UPS (Inner London)

We are a warm and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Kilburn, and we are looking to appoint a compassionate, skilled and enthusiastic Reception Teacher with strong SEN experience to join our dedicated team from September 2025.

This role is a unique opportunity to lead a very small Reception class including 4 pupils with ASD. The children present with a range of needs, including language and communication difficulties, limited attention span, and some emotional regulation challenges. You will play a vital role in shaping their early school experience, providing a nurturing and structured environment where each child can flourish.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience working with children with Autism, particularly in the areas of communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation
• Is confident in using adapted teaching strategies to meet individual learning profiles, including the use of visuals, structured routines, and communication tools (e.g. PECs, Makaton, or AAC)
• Understands the EYFS framework and how to adapt it for children with complex needs
• Is patient, emotionally resilient, and highly nurturing
• Works collaboratively with SEN specialists, support staff, and parents to create consistent support and progress
• Values inclusion and celebrates small steps of progress
