Job summary

Nuffield Health is seeking a friendly Duty Manager for our Chingford Fitness and Wellbeing Club. This part-time role (16 hours per week) focuses on smooth club operations, member engagement and delivering excellent customer service.

You will open and close the club on shift, supervise the team, conduct tours for prospective members and ensure health and safety standards are met. A background in sales and a willingness to train as Lifeguard are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable sales experience and a track record of delivering customer service excellence.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, can-do attitude.
• Experience in a health club or fitness environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the club on shift.
• Lead and support the team to maintain high standards.
• Engage with members to ensure satisfaction and build relationships.
• Conduct tours for prospective members and explain club benefits.
• Oversee health and safety protocols and address issues promptly.

As a Duty Manager, you will:

• Be responsible for the smooth running of our club; including the opening and closing the club when on shift
• Prioritize Member Satisfaction, Engage with our members, fostering happiness and building strong relationships.
• Lead by example, support and guide your colleagues while upholding the highest quality standards.
• Conduct tours for prospective members, highlighting the unique benefits that only Nuffield Health provides
• Oversee health and safety protocols, addressing any issues swiftly and effectively.
• Be able to swim to a high standard and be willing to undergo training at site, due to covering Lifeguard breaks
