Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project. Based at London or Birmingham offices, you will coordinate interfaces across track systems, design partners and alliance members while leading spatial coordination and design governance.

You will drive safety in design, ensure compliance with client requirements and chair multidisciplinary reviews. Ideally you hold a Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree, are a Chartered Engineer and

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering; Chartered status preferred.
• Membership of a recognised professional institution (ICE, IMechE, IET) or working towards chartership.
• Proven experience in rail systems design, integration and multidisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interfaces between Track systems, contractors and alliance members.
• Lead spatial coordination of rail systems designs and ensure robust processes.
• Chair design coordination meetings, workshops and reviews with stakeholders.
• Monitor design progress and ensure delivery aligns with client standards and milestones.
• Coordinate Health and Safety in Design principles and CDM processes.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on design coordination matters.
