Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager for the HS2 Track infrastructure project. You will oversee multidisciplinary design coordination, interface management and technical assurance to support efficient project delivery.

Based at London, Euston or Birmingham, Snow Hill, you will lead design reviews, stakeholder workshops and ensure alignment with client requirements and standards throughout the design phase.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in rail systems design, integration and coordination.
• Experience in contractor-led, design-and-build or alliance delivery environments.
• Experience managing external design organisations and consultant teams.
• Strong understanding of design management processes within major rail or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of health and safety in design and safety assurance principles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interfaces between Track systems, contractors and alliance members.
• Lead spatial coordination of rail systems designs and resolve design clashes.
• Coordinate technical assurance activities for integrated design delivery.
• Promote Health and Safety in Design across rail systems disciplines.
• Support CDM processes and ensure compliance with client requirements.
