Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project at the initial design phase, based at London or Birmingham offices.

You will coordinate interfaces between Track systems, main works contractors, design partners and alliance members, leading spatial coordination and design management. The role requires extensive rail systems experience and strong stakeholder management, with Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in rail systems design and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience in contractor-led or alliance delivery environments is preferred.
• Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering; Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interfaces between Track systems and alliance members.
• Lead spatial coordination and manage design clashes and interfaces.
• Chair design coordination meetings and report progress to Client.
