Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project at the initial design phase. You will coordinate interfaces across track systems, main works and design partners, leading alliance teams to deliver integrated designs on time and to client standards.

The role requires extensive rail systems experience, leadership skills, and a Chartered Engineer status or active progression toward chartership.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in rail systems design and integration.
• Experience in contractor-led or alliance delivery environments.
• Experience managing external design organisations and consultant teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical interfaces between Track systems, Main Works Contractors and Alliance members.
• Lead spatial coordination of rail systems designs and maintain design coordination processes.
• Coordinate and promote Health and Safety in Design principles across disciplines.
• Chair and facilitate design coordination meetings and reviews with stakeholders.
• Monitor design progress and ensure delivery aligned with client requirements and milestones.
