Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager to join the HS2 Track infrastructure program, based at London Euston or Birmingham Snow Hill. You will lead systems integration, design management and spatial coordination across multi‑party teams, chair coordination meetings, manage design clashes, and ensure safety and quality governance throughout the project.

The role requires extensive rail systems experience, strong stakeholder skills, and a Chartered Engineer or working

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in rail systems design, integration, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience in contractor-led, design and build or alliance environments.
• Strong understanding of design management processes in major rail or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical interfaces between Track systems, Main Works Contractors, Design Partners and Alliance members.
• Lead spatial coordination of rail systems designs and manage resolution of clashes and interface issues.
• Coordinate technical assurance activities and ensure designs are reviewed and compliant with client requirements.
