Job summary
BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project at the initial design phase. You will coordinate interfaces across Track systems, Main Works Contractors and design partners to drive integrated delivery and ensure timely, compliant outcomes.
The role requires extensive rail systems design experience, leadership of multidisciplinary teams, and strong stakeholder management.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in rail systems design, integration, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Experience working within contractor-led, design and build or alliance delivery environments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of design management processes within major rail or infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing design interfaces and spatial coordination in complex environments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate technical interfaces between Track systems, Main Works Contractors and Alliance members.
- Lead spatial coordination of rail systems designs produced by design partners and third parties.
- Chair and facilitate design coordination meetings, workshops, and reviews with stakeholders.
- Monitor design progress and ensure coordinated delivery in line with client requirements and milestones.
- Coordinate and promote Health and Safety in Design principles across all rail systems disciplines.
