Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland invites a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager to join the HS2 Track infrastructure at the initial design phase. Based in London or Birmingham, you will drive system integration, design management and safety assurance across alliance partners.

You will chair coordination meetings, manage interfaces, monitor progress, and ensure design outputs meet client requirements and standards. Excellent leadership and stakeholder skills are essential.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
Chartered Engineer status or pursuing chartership.
Extensive rail systems design experience and coordination.
Experience with large-scale rail infrastructure programmes.

Responsibilities

Coordinate technical interfaces between track systems and partners.
Lead spatial coordination and design management across teams.
Facilitate design meetings, reviews and workshops with stakeholders.
Monitor progress, ensure compliant designs and design assurance.
